MnK Niseko recently participated in the 2026 LeadingRE Asia Pacific Forum & Investor Exchange, held in Tokyo on May 19-20, 2026.
The annual event brought together real estate professionals from across the Asia-Pacific region to discuss market trends, investment opportunities, and developments shaping the industry.
As part of the program, MnK Niseko CEO Eddie Guillemette was invited to speak on a panel exploring the appeal of destination, resort, and branded real estate among offshore buyers. The discussion examined the lifestyle, service, trust, and investment factors that influence purchasing decisions in resort markets worldwide. Eddie highlighted a key point of differentiation in MnK’s service: the real estate and property management departments share an incentive to work together for a buyer, as it marks the beginning of a long-term relationship with MnK. In many instances, real estate agents are transactional and have no connection beyond the sale, which can lead to an overinflated yield and an underestimation of running costs.

Joining Eddie at the event was Alistair Shelley, Head of Real Estate & Investments at MnK. Together, they represented MnK while connecting with industry leaders, partners, and fellow LeadingRE members from across the region.
Reflecting on the event, Alistair noted that the conference provided valuable insight into developments across other real estate markets and offered an excellent opportunity to strengthen industry relationships.
